The bowling tray on a wooden desk beside a laptop and a white mug, six coloured pins standing at the far end and the yellow-green disc in its pocket

Pocket Bowling Toy

A flick bowling alley in one tray, and the tray carries its own pins home.

One frame, start to finish.

It starts as one tray.

7.7 × 4.6 × 1.9 in, 4.1 oz. The pins lie in the two side troughs, 3 to a side, and the disc sits in its round pocket. Scroll to play a frame.

Set the pins.

Lift them out and stand them on the marked spots at the far end, the 3-2-1 triangle of a real alley.

Load the disc.

It sits on the launch pad at the top of the ramp, 0.7 in above the lane.

Flick it.

Nothing here is powered. Your fingertip starts the disc, and the 22° ramp turns its drop into speed for the 4.3 in run to the pins.

Strike.

The disc clips the head pin and bounces back. The rest go down in a heap against the walls and the backstop.

Pack it back.

Pins into the troughs, disc into its pocket. Nothing loose, so the whole alley goes in a bag.

Up close

7.7 × 4.6 × 1.9 in and 4.1 oz: small enough for a desk drawer or a backpack, big enough that the pins really scatter. Every piece is made from PETG.

The tray is the alley.

One piece holds every part of the game: a launch pad, a ramp, a walled lane with the pin spots marked at the end, a backstop to catch what flies, and, outside the lane walls, the troughs and pocket that carry everything home.

Good to know

Does it need batteries?

No. Nothing in it is powered. A flick of your finger sends the disc, and the ramp's 0.7 in drop gives it the rest of its speed.

How do you play it?

Stand the 6 pins on the marked spots at the far end, set the disc on the launch pad at the top of the ramp, and flick it down the lane. Count what falls, set them up again, and take the next turn.

Where do the pieces go when we're done?

Into the tray itself. 3 pins lie in each of the 2 side troughs and the disc sits in its round pocket at the foot of the ramp, so the set travels as one 7.7 × 4.6 × 1.9 in tray.

What is it made of?

All 8 pieces are PETG plastic. The whole set weighs 4.1 oz.
