Modern chess set piece For chess players and printers who want a clean, modern set: run four in one colour and four in another for both sides, or print one to replace a missing knight. The felt-pad recess keeps it quiet on a wooden board, and its plain faceted form also works as a desk object.
One faceted piece. The knight is one faceted solid: a round tapered base, a squared collar, and an angled head leaning forward over a notched cut. Flat planes stand in for carved mane and muzzle, so the piece still reads as a knight across the board while staying purely geometric.
Tournament scale. Proportions follow a standard tournament set, taking a 95 mm King as the reference height, so this knight sits in scale with the rest of a board. Print two in one filament colour and two in another to complete both sides, or run a single one to replace a lost piece.
Print and felt-pad base. It prints as one solid part with the widest circle of the base flat on the plate, so no supports are needed there and the head overhang stays modest. The underside has a shallow recess sized for a stick-on felt pad, keeping the glued pad flush and the slide across the board quiet.
