Print six pieces, then push the four I-beam crossbars into the legs to lock the frame together without screws or glue.
Press-fit, friction only. Six printed parts, zero hardware. The four I-beam crossbars carry long tenons that slide straight into matching mortises in leg_left and leg_right. Push them home and friction alone locks the frame square. No screws, no heat-set inserts, no glue anywhere in the assembly.
22 degrees, with an edge catch. The Z-profile sets the deck at 22 degrees for comfortable typing and lifts the machine clear of the desk for airflow. At the lower end of each Z, a low ridge rises about 0.39 in and runs about 0.39 in deep, just enough to catch a 13-inch MacBook's front edge.
Solid where it counts. Each Z-leg is solid along the load paths and hex-relieved elsewhere, so the honeycomb pattern sits within the beam rather than through it. Crossbars use an I-beam profile for stiffness with a lighter feel. Six precision-fitted pieces assemble into a sturdy, refined frame with a fine layer finish throughout.
