Can I lean back in it without it feeling stiff?

Yes. The 25-degree tilt range and adjustable tension let the chair move with your weight instead of fighting it. Set the tension light if you like to rock while thinking. How do the armrests work?

Buy an office chair with adjustable height in that band and a 5'0" user clears a low desk while a 6'4" user clears a 30" surface from the same chair. Feet flat, knees at 90. If your desk is fixed, the chair meets it. If your desk moves too, set the chair once and forget it.
