I’ve been using the L-Shaped Autonomous Smart Desk for a few days now, and overall, it’s a solid piece of equipment with a few notable caveats.

The Good:
The design is sleek and modern, with plenty of surface space to comfortably support a full dual-monitor desktop setup, a laptop, and a secondary monitor. It gives me ample room to spread out and stay organized. I added a light strip which really enhances the ambiance and makes the workspace feel personalized and inviting.

The motors are impressively powerful and handle the weight of my setup—easily 50–60 lbs—without any hesitation. The sit-stand range fits my height well, and the memory presets function exactly as expected, making transitions smooth and convenient.

The Not-So-Good:
The biggest downside was the assembly process. It was quite difficult and realistically would have been near impossible to do alone. Aligning the platform with the surface was frustrating; the rubber washers would often crimp or detach as I tried to line up the drill holes. It felt like a two-person job at every step.

The actuator cables are disappointingly short. Because they must be routed directly to the controller, I wasn’t able to properly utilize the built-in cable trays, which made neat cable management a challenge.

The instructions left a lot to be desired. The diagrams were small, screws weren’t labeled clearly, and in some cases, the guide contradicted the actual drill hole layout. Several steps were missing details that would’ve made the process much smoother.

Final Thoughts:
Once assembled, the desk performs exceptionally well and is a pleasure to use. If Autonomous improves the assembly instructions and cable lengths, it would be a nearly perfect product. As it stands, be prepared for a frustrating build—but a highly functional and spacious desk once it’s up and running.
