Playable chess set, ready to play. A complete playable chess set: a 10 in board formed from four 5.1 in quadrants that fit together seamlessly, paired with pieces ranging from a 1.8 in pawn to a 3.7 in king. Light squares sit recessed 0.031 in for a crisp two-tone inlay, and each base holds a press-fit steel slug for solid, balanced weight.
Four quadrants, one 10 in board. The board prints as four 5.1 in quadrants that dovetail together into a full 10 in plate, 9.4 in of playing field plus a 0.39 in border. Two dovetails per seam sit at 1.6 in and 3.5 in along each edge, with a 15 degree neck 0.47 in wide engaging 0.31 in into its neighbour at a 0.008 in slip fit.
Recessed squares, no paint. Squares measure 1.2 in across on a 0.47 in thick plate, with light squares recessed 0.031 in to form a crisp two-tone inlay in place of paint. Recess corners carry a 0.059 in radius, and the outer border's top edge is rounded to 0.079 in for a finished frame.
A skyline height ladder. Pieces climb a clear height ladder: king 3.7 in, queen 3.4 in, bishop 2.8 in, knight 2.4 in, rook 2.2 in, pawn 1.8 in, each on a 0.24 in cylindrical plinth from 0.94 in down to 0.67 in diameter. Every base hides a downward pocket for a 0.12 in steel slug, Ø0.63 in for king and queen, Ø0.39 in for the rest.
