Modular two-part chess pieces For chess players and multi-color printers who want pieces they can mix and match. Each piece prints as a separate base and top - bishop_top, king_top, knight_top - that stack together, so you can swap a purple bishop top onto an orange base and print a whole set in different filaments without retooling.

Two parts, one piece. The bishop splits into two printed parts: lego_bishop_chess_base and lego_bishop_chess_bishop_top. The top drops onto the base and seats on a plug-style joint, so you can lift it off, swap it for another crown, or mix colors between pieces without any glue.

Printed and verified. Geometry is fully parametric CadQuery, built from parts/base.py and parts/bishop_top.py and assembled in assemblies/product.py. STEP and STL exports are included for the whole piece and for each part separately, alongside section previews used for validation.

Support-free printing. Each part prints flat on its own wide face, so the base and top stand upright with no supports needed on the outer profile. Printing the two halves in different filament colors gives the piece its two-tone look straight off the bed.
