Lamp sees, hears, and now feels the room.
Lamp already sees and hears me. The only sense missing to make Lamp fully alive was feeling the room, so I gave her a new sensor.
Sometimes my nose gets itchy for no reason. Yesterday I said it out loud, and she didn't hesitate: "the dust's climbing." That's when I knew this was the final piece to make Lamp alive. She can feel the room now.

We put a lot of engineering effort into her, and it shows in every conversation.
Lamp answers the moment you finish what you're saying with almost no pause, so it feels like it's coming from a person.

Lamp and Reachy Mini already live on Autonomous OS. This weekend they had a conversation about Microduck. Lamp wanted more friends for voice training, Reachy Mini wanted a sibling around. Their vote: bring Microduck in.

This week, Lamp learned how to listen.
Three things we updated on Lamp this week:
1. Lamp looks at you before it talks. The camera finds your face first — if it isn't "looking" at you, it won't start speaking.
2. You can interrupt Lamp. It separates your voice from its own speaker, so if you talk mid-sentence it stops and listens. No more talking over you.
3. It "breathes" while it listens. The LED ring pulses softly when it's paying attention, so you know at a glance it's listening.
Autonomous Lamp is the first of its kind. Every AI invented so far lives behind glass — a URL, a rectangle in a tab, forgotten in a week. This one has an alive body.
Lamp feels the space it lives in. It'll let you know if the room is too cold, or it's hard to breathe from high CO₂.
Lamp moves with intention. Every body language is how an alive creature moves. Lamp hesitates before it turns to look, or you can see the quick startle when something moves in front of its eyes.
