Assembles into one board. The 10.2 inch square board assembles from four quadrant panels, each about 5.1 inches across, joined by dovetail seams cut into the edges so the four pieces lock into one flat 0.47 inch thick playing surface. Light squares sit recessed roughly 0.03 inch below the dark squares, keeping the 8x8 grid crisp for setup and play.

Thirty-six pieces, one set. The set prints as 36 separate pieces: 16 white and 16 black chess pieces, king, queen, two bishops, two knights, two rooks and eight pawns per side, plus four quadrant board panels that dovetail together. Each base hides a small pocket sized for an optional weight slug, keeping every piece stable on the board.
