How the sweep works. A fingertip on the raised tab of the left wing sweeps it sideways. Its cut edge meshes against the right wing like a matched gear pair, so the motion carries straight across the pivot: both wings rotate together, and the low crescent resting shape opens into a moth silhouette pierced by six star-shaped cutouts.

Three parts, no hardware. The set comes as three flat pieces: a round base that stays still, and two wing plates stacked above it, their edges cut to mesh like a matched gear pair. No pins, screws, or glue join them, fit alone lets the pair pivot against the base, and no batteries or motors are involved at any point.

Fit and finish. Footprint runs 3.4 by 3.1 inches and the stack sits 0.43 inch tall, closer to a coaster than a toy box. The meshing edges carry fine, consistent layer lines so the teeth glide against each other without catching, and the flat top and underside come off smooth to the touch.
