A captive moon runner for idle hands. At a desk, guide the captive moon runner along the visible braided rail with one thumb, letting it travel the full loop and return on its own path, good for anyone with an idle thumb and a spare minute at a desk.

One motion, two bridges, then home. A thumb push sends the moon-shaped runner along the raised rail into the first bridge, around the far lobe, where the route reverses its direction of travel, then through the second bridge and back to its home mark, in one unbroken pass either way.

One PETG print, no assembly. The frame, rail, and captive moon runner print together in one PETG job, with no glue, magnets, or hardware to add and no post-print assembly. Small support posts sit beneath the rail.

An open frame, a visible route. Two raised bridges let the braided rail cross itself without the strands ever touching, so the whole figure-eight route stays visible through the open rectangular frame. Nothing hides the path the moon runner follows from home and back again.
