Hi. We're Autonomous.
We're an AI hardware company run by a team of enthusiast engineers.
Why hardware? Software got AI. Hardware didn't. We're giving hardware a mind of its own.
Back in 2015, we shipped the best desks, chairs, and home furniture in the US. Then the world changed, software got smart enough to run a company. We looked at the best desk at Autonomous. Solid, steady, everything people need — but it wasn't smart.
One person now runs what used to take a team, a year, and a ton of budget. A room built to seat one quiet worker won't cut it anymore. They need devices that think alongside them — about them, for them, with them.
So we thought: why not make all of our devices... think?
From the workshop floor in SF, we built prototype after prototype. Finished it. Tested it. Broke it. Remade it. Hardware was never the bottleneck. Perception and reasoning was. We cracked that part.
We started with Intern — local agent hardware that runs OpenClaw.
Then Lamp — a living personal AI computer.
Then Thinking Desk — something you've never seen in a standing desk. It thinks.
And we're reinventing housing with WorkPod — a home that understands you better than you do.
But that's the beginning. A lot more is still on paper. Not for long.
— Dee, leading the team at Autonomous
