Warranty Policy

This warranty does not cover products manufactured by other brands sold under the Dropship model. Please refer to Dropship Product TOU.

Disclaimer

We recommend that all shipments be inspected immediately upon arrival. Please make note of any damage to boxes when signing for the shipment.

  • Report any losses or damages promptly to the Smart Office team on Help Center page

  • Notification must be made within one week of delivery. Otherwise, Autonomous reserves the right to deny your claim request.

  • Save all packaging until the trial period has ended in case of return

Please let us know immediately if your order does not arrive within the delivery time frame. We cannot be responsible for claims filed more than 30 days after the delivery period.

All Autonomous products purchased from dealers or resellers are not eligible for warranty. We only sell the replacement parts for customers, who bought products directly from Autonomous. 

Warranty

Our standard warranty is a minimum of one year from the actual date of delivery. The warranty period applies to the original products only. 

Your product is guaranteed to be free from manufacturer defects, however, if there are manufacturer defects, please report them to Smart Office after delivery, so we can send you replacements. Please note that replacement parts are the same version as your original products. We do not provide any upgrade replacement parts under any circumstance.

'Defects', as defined in this warranty, are any imperfections in material or workmanship that inhibits the use of the product.

In no event shall Smart Office be liable for incidental or consequential damages resulting from the use of the product. This warranty does not cover:

  • Defects caused by improper assembly 

  • Defects occurring after purchase due to product modification, intentional damage, accidents, misuse, abuse or negligence 

  • Normal wear and tear due to age 

  • Labor or assembly costs

All Smart Office warranties are limited warranties and are limited to the original purchaser with proof of purchase. In some cases, wear and tear may be depreciated for the time that the product was in use.

Product Warranty

For products purchased on or after January 9, 2019, all eligible Autonomous products are covered under a limited, non-transferable warranty for the term listed below for normal usage.

A failure is a mechanical breakdown or defect in the unit that affects the user’s ability to operate the product as intended. If it is determined that the failure was caused by misuse or abuse of the product, replacements and return shipping will be at the customer’s expense.

We hereby cover all Autonomous products for a period of:

7 years: all metal and mechanical parts and components, including motors and electrical components of

  • Autonomous SmartDesk Pro

  • Autonomous SmartDesk Connect

  • Autonomous SmartDesk Core Duo

5 years: all TPB mesh components, metal and mechanical parts and components, including motors and electrical components of

  • Autonomous SmartDesk Core

  • Autonomous SmartDesk Corner

  • ErgoChair Pro +

Please note that:

  • The 5-year-warranty period only applies to the frame part of all SmartDesk versions. The tabletops or surfaces are under the 1-year warranty period. 
  • SmartDesk Core, our dual-motor frame desk, is an upgraded version of SmartDesk 2 Home Edition, the single-motor one. The 5-year-warranty period is only applied to the SmartDesk Core. All SmartDesk 2 Home Edition Frame was covered under 1 year warranty period only. Since it was sunsetted in Jul 2019, it would be no longer eligible for the warranty policy stated herein from Jul 2020.

  • All SmartDesk Table Top/Surface.  In case the table's top has an issue and needs to be replaced, Autonomous only accepts to compensate you the same or downgrade the price/size of the tabletop (Ex. from XL top to classic top). There is no refund for the discrepancy amount if you want to downgrade your tabletop.

All damages to purchased parts or return/exchange requests must be reported to our customer service team within 7 days of delivery. Should you choose to return the purchased part, Autonomous reserves the right to charge a 30% restocking fee of the total value of the purchased part. Return labels, packaging, boxes, and fees will be the responsibility of the customer.

Exceptions to coverage include:

  • Changes in surface finish, including color-fastness or matching of colors, wood grains, or textures

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Dye transfers caused by external contaminants

  • Modifications made by the user

  • Products that were not installed, used or maintained in accordance with product instructions and warnings

  • Damage or marking of surfaces caused by sharp or foreign objects

  • Pilling of textile
