Backyard Writing Studio
Your new home for writing ideas
Generate Original Writing Ideas, in Your Backyard
A writing shed is a backyard shed set up for focused writing a few steps from the house, away from the noise and pull of home. It is pre-wired and installed in 1 to 2 days, with floor-to-ceiling glass so nothing sits between you and the view.
What customers say about Autonomous ADUs
I am using the WorkPod as a meditation and writing studio. I’m still in the process of decorating it. It’s not finished yet. I’m attaching one picture of it as it currently is and will send another when I’m done decorating.

I've been working out of the WorkPod - my new backyard writing shed for about two weeks now. It has been a significant quality of life improvement! Thank you so much for making this product. Despite some challenges along the way, I couldn't be happier with the result!
David H.
San Francisco, California
It is my writing shed within one day of being put together. I don’t have to worry about if it needs to be painted, or anything like that. It’s a complete, pre-configured box. I can just walk in and I’m super happy with that…

Pre-wired office: WorkPod
The WorkPod is the dedicated office in the lineup and the most capable backyard writing studio, pre-wired so Wi-Fi, outlets and lights work the day it goes up. Add a mesh extender or Ethernet and the writing shed is online; Starlink is available for far yards, which makes it a reliable prefab writing shed for full-time work.
Most glass: StudioPod
The StudioPod carries the most glass in the lineup, a full glass front that keeps the trees in view while you write. Face the desk toward the yard and there is no blank wall when a sentence stalls, which makes this backyard writing studio the brightest writing room and a calm, light-filled writing shed.
Compact pick: MetroPod
The MetroPod is the compact writing shed, built from metal siding and five insulation layers that hold a stable temperature in a small footprint. For a backyard writing studio that fits a tight yard, it is the efficient prefab writing shed, a quiet writing room for one with less space to heat and cool.
