All current SmartDesks have a noise level no more than 50dB. In case the noise is louder than that limit, please first check if rubber cushions and all screws are installed and tightened properly. 

Secondly, if you have used your desk for a while, loud noise may happen due to the lack of oil frame due to the humidity level of your location. Please add some oil to the frame. We advise you to only use machine oil which contains the following ingredients: 

• White Oil 80%-90%
• Stearic Acid 10%-20%
• Antioxidant 1%-5%

How to add the oil:

• Set the frame at its highest position
• Apply the oil to the connection points of the frame
• Move the leg frame UP & DOWN dozens of times to help spread the oil.
• When the oil works, the frame will become less noisy 
• Please help clean any excess oil off the leg.
